Do I need to become a Ctrip member to book?
Not at all. We only need your email address to send you confirmation of your bookings. Once you become a Ctrip member, we will reward you with Ctrip points for your purchases. How do I become a Ctrip member?
Click Register on the top right-hand corner of our home page to find the registration information.
How do I change my password?
Click on "My Stuff" on the home page and select "Edit" located at the bottom of your information. You will see "Modify password" on the first line. Select this option to create a new password.
What should I do if I forget my password?
A. You can reset your password online:
(a) If your email address or mobile number is associated with your Ctrip account, you can input your Username/Email/Ctrip card No. on the log-in page and click “Forgot your password?” to go to the “Reset password” page. Input the capcha and then submit;
(b) Click “SMS/Email password” on the “password reset methods” page. We will send a capcha or email to your mobile number or email address.
(c) Input the capcha in the SMS or click the link in the email and reset a new password;
B. If you cannot reset your password using the above methods, please call us at 400-619-9999 (Mainland China) or (86 21) 3210 4669 (International). You can also skype us or email us.
How do I review or update my profile information?
Click on "My Stuff" on the home page to see your account information. Click "Edit" located towards the bottom of your information to update.
What is a Ctrip VIP card?
  • In order to obtain a Ctrip VIP card, a member must have accumulated at least 2000 Ctrip points.
  • Cardholders enjoy priority services when booking hotels, flights, packages and activites.
  • Discounts are also available at more than 3000 stores around the country.
How do I get a Ctrip VIP card?
  • If you have obtained 2000 points or more, you are qualified to redeem them for a Ctrip VIP card on our Chinese website. After receiving your request, we will send your card out within 10 days. We can only send VIP card to cities in mainland China.
What can I do with my Ctrip points?

Ctrip points can be used to redeem free flight tickets, hotel room nights, activities and many more gifts provided by Ctrip. For a check list of redeemable gifts, please see here.

How are Ctrip points accumulated?
As soon as you register as a Ctrip member, 1000 points will be automatically awarded to your account. Any hotel, flight, activities or flight + hotel package bookings you make in the future with Ctrip will gain you points.
Basic rules:
Hotel reservation =Reservation amount
Flight reservation =Reservation amount/4 + insurance fee
Activities reservation =Reservation amount/4
Flight + hotel Package reservation =Reservation amount/2

Note:

Delivery fee cannot be used to accumulate points. Fuel surcharge, airport construction fee and taxes cannot be used to accumulate points on flight reservations.

For different membership levels, points would be added as follows:
Regular membership By telephone =Basic points *1
Online =Basic points *2
Gold membership By telephone =Basic points *1.5
Online =Basic points *2.5
Platinum membership By telephone =Basic points *2
Online =Basic points *3
Diamond membership By telephone =Basic points *2.5

How do I find out how many Ctrip points I have?
Click on the "My Stuff" tab at the top right-hand side of the home page and click on "My points". You will see how many points you have.
Do my Ctrip points ever expire?
Ctrip points are valid for 2 years. For example, if you checked into a hotel on December 2nd 2011 and received 800 Ctrip points, then on December 31st 2013 the 800 Ctrip points will expire.
How long after making a reservation are my points credited to my account?

A) Hotel reservations

  • For Mainland China hotels, about one week after checkout (during public holidays and for some hotels, it may take a longer time).
  • For Hong Kong and Macao hotels, about one month after checkout.
  • For prepaid hotels in Taiwan and foreign countries, one day after successful prepayment.

B) Flight reservations

  • About 3 workdays after ticket(s) have been issued and paid for.

C) Flight + Hotel Package

  • After order confirmation and successful payment. Ctrip points will be credited to your account about 1 workday after order conclusion.

D) Activity reservations

  • After the initiation of your activity.

How do I look up my current reservation?
Click "My Stuff" on the home page to obtain access to your reservation lists.
